I've (FINALLY) started to actively and deliberately train my back & overload my abs. As usual, I've been trying to clean up my diet. I always suffer from bouts of emotional eating & habitual late night junk food munchies.
I must admit that my diet is still pretty far from what I would like it to look like. Last Sunday I successfully ingested 3000 kcals just because I was so stressed up over some really ridiculous issue that I have been trying to avoid but was still forced to face. It seems easier to emotional eat rather than face the problem head on, but...

When life throws you a problem, you eat the problem up; eating everything else but leaving the problem on the plate is simply plain stupid.
Lately, I have been feeling pretty stagnant with regard to my progress but something got into me this morning and I just felt like taking some progress shots. So I did :)
Very surprised with what I saw. & yes, I have been spending quite a lot of time training under the sun - explains the horrible looking tan line :P Maybe the tan helps with the leaner look. LOL.

My jaw literally dropped when I placed these two (side profile) pictures side by side. MY GAWDDDDDD!!! I don't think I was anywhere near "fat" or "bad looking" or "gross" in December but... Goodness me!
Not sure what my current weight is, neither do I care. Weight is such a bad definition of your body. It says absolutely nothing about your body composition and condition.
As much as I would love to have a ripped and lean body, I still believe that aesthetics are the by-product of good health and fitness levels. It really doesn't matter how much you weigh, how visible your muscles are or how small your waist is.

If you don't learn to love yourself, you'll NEVER ever be satisfied no matter how much your body changes - it'll never be good enough.
Loving yourself means that you're comfortable with yourself despite the imperfections, you're confident of yourself, but yet at the same time, you're always striving to get better, moving towards becoming the best version of yourself.
As usual, I love to show people the food that I prepare :P

I got hungry at night during my sleep so my brain started to plan for the morning's breakfast. It came up with this BRILLIANT idea. Looks amazing, doesn't it?!
Sleep is simply amazing.
On Monday, I made some turkey rolls with cheese and cucumber to take to school for my mid morning snack.

It was ridiculously salty. So this morning, I boiled the turkey deli for a while. See what I discovered:
Too much preservatives and sodium. Not going to buy them again. Fresh is always the best.
Finally, my baby YogiSMU is starting classes at SMU's Li Ka Shing Library's Rooftop Garden again!!!

We've come such a long way & we're introducing a greater variety of classes with more slots, but lower cost because we want every single student in SMU to be able to enjoy the benefits of yoga and physical activity :) Excited to see how YogiSMU grows this year!
Hope everyone's having a wonderful week so far! TGIF soon, hang in there!!! Stay healthy and happy <3
